Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
At Ero Map (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we take your privacy seriously — even though the content on our site is anything but serious. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. By using https://ero-map.com/ (the “Site”), you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect as little personal information as possible because, honestly, we have better things to do than stalk you.
- Automatically collected data: IP address, browser type, device info, referring page, time spent on the site, and the usual boring analytics stuff (via Google Analytics, Cloudflare, and similar third-party tools).
- Cookies & tracking tech:: Yes, we use cookies. They’re small, delicious data files that help us remember if you’ve been here before and what kind of spicy content you clicked on last time.
- Voluntary information: If you email us at [email protected], submit a site for review, or report a broken link, we get whatever you send us (email address, message, etc.).
- No account registration: We don’t make you sign up or log in, so we never collect usernames, passwords, or payment info directly.
You can manage or delete cookies anytime via your browser settings or tools like aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
2. How We Use Your Information
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): We process data based on (1) legitimate interests (analytics, fraud prevention, site improvement), (2) consent (where cookies are non-essential), and (3) legal obligations.
Mostly to keep the site running and occasionally laugh at the weird search terms people use to find us:
- Improve the Site (analytics, heatmaps, figuring out which categories are most popular).
- Show you relevant ads (we’re ad-supported, so third-party ad networks may track you across the web).
- Prevent abuse, spam, and illegal content.
- Respond to your emails or DMCA/removal requests.
3. Third-Party Advertising & Tracking
We display ads to pay the bills. Our advertising partners (various third-party networks; full list available on request) may:
- Use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies.
- Build interest-based profiles to show you more relevant ads elsewhere.
- Collect your IP, browser fingerprint, and browsing behavior.
You can opt out via aboutads.info, youronlinechoices.eu, or your browser’s privacy settings.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We don’t sell your personal data — there’s barely any to sell anyway. We may share data only when necessary with:
- Service providers (hosting, CDN, analytics — e.g., Cloudflare, Google).
- Law enforcement or authorities if legally required.
- In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the site.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to — and maintained on — servers located outside your country (including the United States, Europe, and Asia). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions where applicable to ensure protection.
5. Data Retention
Server logs: up to 90 days.
Analytics data: as long as the respective providers retain it (usually 26–50 months).
Email correspondence: kept only as long as needed or as required by law.
6. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
If you’re in the EU, California, Japan, or anywhere with privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access the (very little) data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Withdraw consent (where applicable).
Send requests to [email protected] with subject “Privacy Request”. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner where required by law).
7. Children
This site is strictly 18+ (or 21+ where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we learn a child has provided information, we will delete it immediately.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, Cloudflare protection, and industry-standard measures. However, no method is 100% secure — the internet is wild.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
